Do i need to renew my norton internet security for my lap top?

My norton internet security had expired.. then i found a norton internet security disk from 07 its a vista.. do i need to renew my subscription to norton or can i just insert the disk that i found.. The disk has a label Dell from my old laptop latitude but my new laptop is HP notebook vista.. so can i just install the disk on my new laptop or pay the subscription?

1. You can use it. But... Norton is garbage and it slows your computer down. I'd remove Norton completely and get a good free one. Avast or AVG.
