Should I get Norton Security Suite?
I just switched to Comcast high speed internet. As part of my subscription, they are offering me Norton Security Suite for free. http://security.comcast.net/ Should I get it? I am currently using AVG Free Edition.

- No, it's a waste of money. AVG is superior. Norton is only temporarily free, you'll have to pay later to keep your subscription, and since it doesn't let you uninstall it, you will be plagued with warnings that you need to update and pay for Norton everyday once your free trial expires.
- Yeah. Uninstall AVG, as it has no root kit protection and poor malware detection. "Ted" Norton from Comcast is free. They won't charge you $160 a month. It's not a trial.
- I have Macafee, but sometimes that doesn't get all of the spyware, malware lurking in your PC. There are 2 anti-virus scans I use daily are AVG (free) and Spybot. also free. Works great.
- I would and see if it gets along with your system. What runs well on my system might not on another system. Norton use to be bloated and buggy like AVG has become, but recently Norton got smart and rolled out better software. - NO. because this norton is not freeware . if you want download freeware norton security go & download it in this address
- Immediately. AVG lacks protection that you could get with Norton...one being protection against rootkits. From experience having used AVG and Symantec/Norton, I've never had a problem with Symantec/Norton. Using AVG I had to reformat my computer all the time because it couldn't delete or quarantine a virus. While using Symantec I download trials of other top rated security suites and run a scan to see if my antivirus is really getting all the viruses...and guess what? It is. When I had AVG I'd run a scan with other suites and it always finds shit.
