Why does norton security suite from comcast turn off?

I got norton from comcast and it turns off when I shut my PC off. I contacted the support and none of them know what to do. So I deleted it. Has this happened to you? what do I do to fix it so it doesn't happen. Right now I have McAfee on my machine and it sucks so I dont want it but its better than no security at all because norton keeps turing off.

1. Try reinstalling it, but before you do make sure you remove Mcafee first.
