Norton Security Suite - How do you get Norton Security Suite (thru Comcast), to not perform so many background tasks?

How do you get Norton Security Suite (thru Comcast), to not perform so many background tasks?

I have Norton Security Suite (from Comcast) installed on my Win7 Pro PC, it's ALWAYS performing some sort of background tasks when I get back to it. None of the other programs I have used like this have ever performed nearly as many scans, backups, and whatever else it may be doing. How can I lessen the frequency at which these tasks are attempted? Thanks.

Hi JB, This is Mike from the Norton Authorized Support Team. The default settings are for a quick scan to take place in the background when your computer is Idle for 10 minutes. You can change this setting to 20 or 30 minutes if you'd like. As far as the PC Optimization tasks that run when your computer is Idle, you can change these settings to manual or create a schedule.
