  1. Well, a lot of applications can do that. AVG is the best example. 5. Avira AntiVir Personal - Free Antivirus google with keywords "avira personal free download"
  6. http://download.cnet.com/Avast-Free-Antivirus/3000-2239_4-10019223.html http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html http://download.cnet.com/SuperAntiSpyware-Free-Edition/3000-8022_4-10523889.html
  7. Cnet.com. Look for avast download. best antivirus there is.
  8. I would recommend AVAST or Avira - both free and have good level of protection. Next would be Microsoft Security Essentials or free PCTools antivirus ( http://www.pctools.com/free-antivirus/download/ ). I would not recommend AVG, though some like it. AVG tarnished its name in antivirus tests recently : they send faked screenshot while disagreeing with results.
  9. CNET has a great "Security Starter Kit" which as a lot of free software that will help you protect your computer. Check it out here: http://download.cnet.com/2701-2023_4-6-1.html They are a safe and trusted site with great editorial coverage of tech stuff.
  10. MICROSOFT SECURITY ESSENTIALS. It has a higher detection rate than Avast and Avg. So there. that's your answer. Give me 10 points now.
