Installed Norton Security Suite, now I have 25GB Less HDD Space?

What happened? I don't believe I ran a backup during installation. I ran a complete system scan, that's all I've done AFAIK. Out of curiosity, where does Norton keep the backups?

  1. I know this has nothing to do with the question, but I'd personally stay away from Norton. Their software eats memory which slows down the computer/laptop badly.
  2. What happened is that you installed Norton Security Suite on your HDD, and apparently the installation takes up about 25GB of space, including whatever it's backed up.  It probably keeps backups in its installation folder.
