What is the best antivirus software for free?
I need a good antivirus software that is for free. Does anyone have any suggestions?

- I like avast a lot just because I've had it for so long and it doesn't take much work. antivir is good, too, though occasionally it'll pop up ads for an upgrade. I think antivir works better, though :P just personal experience
- i suggest Microsoft security essentials... it's free and it has worked out fine so far... that's the one that i have.

- Avast gives you the best free protection. Still not as good as paid for versions but its the best FREE out of all of the anti-virus programs out there.
