Norton Security Suite

How do I uninstall Norton Security Suite from my Dell laptop?

I recently downloaded Norton Security Suite on my Dell laptop. Comcast provided it for me along with my internet purchases. And now, ever since I downloaded it, my laptop runs incredibly slow. It's very aggravating and I just want to get rid of it.

  1. To completely remove Norton products (which MUST be removed completely before installing any other A-V) Download and run the Norton Removal Tool from the Norton / Symantec website. http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039
  2. Click your "Start" button in the bottom left-hand corner. Click on "Control Panel." Double click the " Add or Remove Programs" icon. Locate and click on the Norton or Symantec or products. Click on the "Remove" button. In the next window, click the "Remove All" button. This initiates the removal process. Reboot your PC once you are prompted to after the removal process is complete. Once your computer is re-booted, Norton will have been removed from your PC. Follow the steps in Section 2 below if this simple method does not do the trick. Once you re-boot, the Norton and Symantec products will be uninstalled.
  3. Download the official Norton Removal Tool. This will completely remove Norton from your laptop.
