Norton Security Suite

I just installed Norton Security Suite through Comcast, do I need to uninstall Malwarebytes AntiMalware?

Is Malwarebytes AntiMalware compatible with Norton Security Suite? I already had to uninstall Spybot, SuperAntiSpyware & Spyware Blaster, do I need to uninstall Malwarebytes AntiMalware, too? http://security.comcast.net/?cid=NET_33_0

  1. GET A MAC
  2. No need to. Its safe to have both
  3. I often double up with anti virus and anti malware applications and never have any issues. It's when you have multiple FIREWALLS running that you tend to have even bigger issues. And don't listen to that bullshit about getting a Mac. They actually recommend their users to get anti virus protection now. So much for "Macs never get viruses" as they praised about themselves in their commercials just a year or so ago. They do indeed have the capability of getting viruses. It's just with Mac having only 5% of the marketshare, why make a virus for 5% of the users when you can make a virus that would hit 93% of users? (the remaining 2% is used by Linux, BSD, Solaris, etc.)
  4. You don't really need it but it's okay to have it there. What can happen is when one program quarantines a file(s) and a second one tries to delete those quarantined files. Then you might have issues. Or if they both ran a scan at the same time your machine could slow to a crawl. I would say you don't NEED the extra program. Some say it's fine to run numerous file scanners on one's machine but every one that is running is using up resources at some point. If I had an issue with something, I would decide how best to deal with it at that time. Most people who "play with fire" either know how to deal with incoming threats or are very cautious, or get infected frequently. Speaking for myself, I have liked Norton for many years. It has historically been very highly rated for good reason. Just make sure you have the resources to run it. Don't run new Norton products on old machines or else the machine will slow down, of course.
  5. The free version of Malwarebytes will not conflict with any security programs as it doesn't run in real-time. It only runs when you open it and do a scan.
  6. no infact you need to get superantispyware to back those up... no computer is safe 100 percent theses days
  7. No, you don't have to as you can put several Antispyware/antimalware on your PC alongside with an Internet Security. For instance I have Kaspersky Internet Security along with Malwarebytes anti-malware and I have no problems to report! But make sure that you have only one anti virus or one Internet Security on your computer.
