Norton Security Suite

Should I install Norton Security Suite for free, I am a Comcast customer?

I am currently using AVG Anti-Virus free and bit defender free edition 2009...The only reason I am considering is that comcast gives it to me for free but If I am going to download, I must do it before the end of the month. Currently happy with what I have for the most part. THANKS!!!

  3. I have comcast and I have the norton security system. your not getting your money's worth if you don't use it, because it's part of the service.I had other virsus software but I gave that up and went with the norton security. I think it's satisfactory.
  4. The free version of AVG is a pretty poor anti-virus program. Honestly, you can't do much better than the new Norton Internet Security (since 2009). Although some people are still insisting that Norton slows down a computer, the fact is that Norton Internet Security 2009 and up runs extremely light, unlike its predecessors from 2003 to 2008. Great virus detection rate and very low false-positives. And its getting rave rewiews: Review here: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2330024,00.asp But avoid Norton versions before 2009.
  5. It is probably a good idea. ATT used Norton for a few years and the switched to McAfee, which they are presently using. I would remember to UnInstall AVG first.
  6. Yes. But make sure you uninstall AVG and Bitdefender first. http://www.avg.com/us-en/download-tools http://www.bitdefender.com/KB333-en--How-to-uninstall-BitDefender.html
  7. I just switched to it a few weeks ago. It's really a copy of Norton 360. It has tune up tools and a back up program. I turn off those. It runs very light. Before posting this I checked in task Manager and it is only using about 14 mb of ram. Also the fire wall works very good.
