Norton Security Suite

How do you configure comcast's Norton Security Suite automatic real time protection?

I have Comcast's Norton Security Suite & I can not find any where on it to configure the real time protection. It keeps detecting some things that are not trojans or viruses, but it thinks it is & quarantines it. I have to keep restoring them, but norton just keeps doing it. Is there no way to get norton to ask me 1st before it does anything like that. Mcafee you could but I do not see that option for norton. I am not talking about the virus scanning, I am talking about the Automatic/ Real Time protection. I see where you can turn that off but that is all the settings for that I can find. I tried Microsoft Security Essentials, but the problem with that is, that does not include a firewall & I need a firewall. Windows firewall stinks. I tried Zone Alarm firewall along with Microsoft Security Essentials. But the 2 are not compatible together, because my computer freezes when I have them both installed. I am running windows 7 by the way, so that limits my choices. Comcast used to have Mcafee Total protection, which I liked, but they switched to the Norton Security Suite, which runs good but I do not like that you can not decide whether or not it blocks something or quarantines it. All others I have ever used you were able to decide that but Norton takes that decision away from you.
