does the old version of my antivirus software will conflict with the new one?

I just want to try the new version of eset antivirus 4 but i don't like to remove the old one because when that software trial collapse then i'll have to remove it.Do you need to remove the old one before replacing it?

1. I have not worked with eset but there is a chance they will conflict. you should get that message when trying to install that says that it wont work with the old version on. I recommend AVG personally which you can find here under the security tab http://www.nicklockard.com/
