how can I remove the remaining part of the symantec antivirus software?

I installed symantec antivirus in my pc and then uninstall it because i wanted to use another antivirus. Now the problem is, when I try to install AVG anti virus, i get a message saying that the software program is still installed. PLease help.

1. download the ccleaner and unistall it from there. then run the registry cleaner afterwards on the ccleaner as well. that should totally get rid of it

5. Your only option is CCleaner. ( from personal experiences ) Norton removal tool can only remove Norton antivirus.
