Other than McAfee, CA and Norton, what Internet Security Suite progam should I get?
I have Windows XP. Norton gave my computer viruses when I installed it. McAfee would never install right and when CA is installed, it would restart my computer. I am looking for a Internet Security Suite program that has anti virus protection, Anti spyware, Anti Adware (if possible), Spam blocker and if possible a firewall?

- Comodo Firewall is very good if you know how to use it. I recommend Zone alarm its free for ever and its very easy to use and it does ask if you want to aprove to open everything, But thats normal. A good anti-spyware would have to be one of the following : Ad-Aware 2007, AVG Anti-Spyware, CWShredder, Spybot Search And Destroy, Windows Defeneder, Spyware Blaster. I am pretty sure all these programs are free forever too. Ad-Aware 2007 Download Link This is also free forever http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad_a... - hello. If your computer is for personal use, I can recommend the following free programs that do a better job than Norton, McAfee, CA or other costly all-in-one Internet Suites. A company that makes great cars might not make the best trucks or bikes. So too a company that makes great anti-virus might not have the expertise in the other departments. Anti-virus : I have used Avast's Free Home Edition (http://www.avast.com/) for over two years now on Win XP and Win2k without any problems ever. The software is completely free, no ads or other annoyances. Firewall and Anti-malaware(spyware): I switched to Comodo's Free Firewall and Antimalaware programs (http://www.comodo.com/) a year ago. They have been fantastic. I have not had problems with them and they offer a decent level of customizable options and other great features. And they have scored consistently high on benchmark tests. I used to use Zonealarm's free firewall but of late this free version scored pretty low on competitive benchmarks. AntiSpyware: AVG Antispyware is an antispyware that's free, but I don't use it since I switched to Comodo. I rely on Gmail and my mail client (Outlook) for blocking spam, so can't help you there. Best protection against spam : keep your mail ID confidential as much as possible. You might also want to look at Spybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/) for protecting your registry from unauthorized changes. I use it as a second layer of protection.
- XP is very vulnerable to virus attack. You should stop using XP and start using Linux http://groups.myspace.com/wapomeroy
