installing Norton internet security suite?
I've got Norton anti-virus installed on my laptop and it's due to expire in about a fortnight. I've decided to go the whole hog and instal the Norton security suite 2006 when the other is out-of -date. Someone at work told me it can be a bit of a pig to instal. Can anyone give me a guide or walk-through instructions to instal it myself? Failing that, can somebody point me in the direction of a useful website? Thanks.

- My friend I am sorry you have wasted your money. You may not want to hear this but if at all possible return it and download AVG, Avast, or NOD32.
- Look in the yellow pages.
- I wouldn't bother with it at all. If you must use an all-in-one suite, I reccomend Kaspersky Internet Security, http://www.kasperskyusa.com/ - please go with them, Norton is one of the most ineffective security applications you can use. Please do not use Norton, it's also a system hog.
- go to norton's webpage or look for the customer support #, they will gladly help you, and Uninstal the existing one, instal the new one and configure it... It's not so complex, but anyway, ask the Norton people for help, they are the pro's on that section.
- I have had load of problems with Norton, try something else when it expires!
- Norton came free with my comp. but even a freebie isn't a turn on 4 me.. i had Norton and Mcafee in the past and both let hackers in.. i trust AVG and spybot.. AVG. will protect your computer like a mean dog : ) once i deleted Norton, my comp ran smooth..
- i took norton off my pc. there were a lot of sites with downloads i wanted for a lot of things. norton would not let me. i contacted them and they actually told me to disable it at times when i needed too.
- disconnect your internet connection, you to add/remove programmes - unistall your norton that expires in 2 weeks, disable your firewall, get out the installer disc for your nortion, it should slef run/load and you jsut have to click the few on screen prompts/type in your name to register it to you - dead easy, once installed, re-connect your firewall, then connect to the internet, you can get the free online updates - this will happen automatically, it weill ask you before doing it - dead easy.
- go to ca antivirus it is free fro one year, an believe it or not it is sponsered by our very ovn microsoft mafia.
- If you have confidence in Norton Antivirus, then get the plain version. The suite makes your computer run very slowly. I have UNINSTALLED it from several of my clients computers, because they were disatisfied with the slow speed.
