what's the difference between norton security suite or norton internet security? i have norton internet security and its about to expire but i also have comcast which offers norton security suite. i was wondering if there the same thing and if not which is better?
How do you get Norton Security Suite (thru Comcast), to not perform so many background tasks? I have Norton Security Suite (from Comcast) installed on my Win7 Pro PC, it's ALWAYS performing some sort of background tasks when I get back to it. None of the other programs I have used like this have ever performed nearly as many scans, backups, and whatever else it may be doing. Norton Internet Security Suite is Killing My Computer! What Do I Do? Ever since I installed Norton Internet Security Suite 2007, my computer has been barely functional. Startup now takes ten minutes, launching an application takes a few more, and it constantly freezes up for a few minutes while chugging away on some Norton task. I don't want to remove it and have no protection, but this is unacceptable. Is there a way to configure it for bare-bones virus protection that is dramatically less resource intensive? Every Month or So, my Norton Security Suite doesn't start up and needs to be reinstalled. Is that normal? On a random day every month, Norton just...doesn't start up, and when I try to, I'm taken to a menu where things need to be fixed, apparently. So I always just restart and forget about it. What browsers are compatible with Norton Security Suite 4? Hey everyone, I downloaded Norton Security Suite 4 for free from Comcast and I was wondering if anyone knew a list of compatible browsers. I did some searching but ended up with no definite answers. By compatible, I mean a browser that actually uses Norton to protect your computer. For example, when you download a file with IE8, Norton automatically scans the file and tells you the verdict. With Microsoft Vista O/S, and A Norton Security Suite, I'm having trouble closing programs. How do I fix? I noticed that the problem surfaced a while after installing, via download, a suite of Norton Secvurity features, including anti-virus, anti-spyware, and a firewall. My HP performance evaluator tells me regularly that my firewall, anti-spyware, and anti-virus programs are running. How do you configure comcast's Norton Security Suite automatic real time protection? I have Comcast's Norton Security Suite & I can not find any where on it to configure the real time protection. It keeps detecting some things that are not trojans or viruses, but it thinks it is & quarantines it. I have to keep restoring them, but norton just keeps doing it. Is there no way to get norton to ask me 1st before it does anything like that. Mcafee you could but I do not see that option for norton. I am not talking about the virus scanning, I am talking about the Automatic/ Real Time protection. I see where you can turn that off but that is all the settings for that I can find. I tried Microsoft Security Essentials, but the problem with that is, that does not include a firewall & I need a firewall. Windows firewall stinks. I tried Zone Alarm firewall along with Microsoft Security Essentials. But the 2 are not compatible together, because my computer freezes when I have them both installed. I am running windows 7 by the way, so that limits my choices. Comcast used to have Mcafee Total protection, which I liked, but they switched to the Norton Security Suite, which runs good but I do not like that you can not decide whether or not it blocks something or quarantines it. All others I have ever used you were able to decide that but Norton takes that decision away from you.
Zonealrm Internet Security Suite 2007 or Norton Internet Security 2007? Which one is better? I am not sure because on one Internet Security review site it said Zonealarm was good and on another it said it was bad and Norton was a better choice.
